Temple in Bali - Located near Tanah Lot, Pakendungan Temple is believed as the place of Dang Hyang Dwijendra to conduct Yoga Semadi meditation when he for the first time arrived in Beraban Village. In relation to the Darmayatra journey of Dang Hyang Dwijendra, Pakendungan Luhur Temple also belongs to the group of important temples called Dang Kahyangan Temple.
This temple also ha another function as Pengulun Subak Temple for people in Kediri Subdistrict and subaks throughout Tabanan Regency.
The Piodalan ceremony in Luhur Pekendungan Temple is held at the same time as Hindus celebrate Kuningan Day, on Saptawara Saniscara (Saturday), Pancawara Kliwonand Wuku Kuningan based on the Balinese calendar.
